How to Disco: The Disco Guide to Skincare

It’s probably been a while since 14 year-old you stood in front of the bathroom mirror trying to figure out what to do with your hair, whether to pop that pimple or not, and exactly how to hold that potentially deadly weapon also known as a razor against your precious face. But you figured all that stuff out, right? So we’re confident you’ll get the hang of this routine, too. The best part? The payoff is way bigger now than it was in 9th grade.

Disco was made to make things easy, so here’s a suggested weekly routine. Try it out for a few weeks and let us know how it’s working for you!

Hopefully you mastered this one in 9th grade, too.

Body Wash.
Again, you know this one. We recommend using our body wash as needed, depending on your activity level.

Cleanser Stick. This is your everyday way to wash your face. We use it morning and night. We made our cleanser a stick so it could travel easily too, whether that’s to the gym or out of town. Simply dampen your face, run the stick along your cheeks, chin, and forehead, and be sure to avoid the area around your eyes. Lather up for 15 seconds or so. Rinse with warm water.

Face Scrub.
For a deeper clean. Use this 1-2 times a week, right after your cleanser stick. We usually like a Friday night scrub to really wash the week away and get ready for the weekend. Dampen skin again, and use a penny to quarter-size amount. Rub in using a small circular motion for up to 15 seconds, and rinse gently with warm water.

Face Mask.
Time to treat yourself! Use this 1-2 times a week, right after your cleanser stick—and NOT on the days you use the facial scrub. If you’ve got a special occasion (think hot date, friend’s wedding, big presentation), give yourself an extra 10-20 minutes and use the mask after you cleanse your face. Otherwise, maybe make this a regular part of your Sunday night? It’s the perfect way to reset your skin after the weekend. Apply an even layer across your face, avoiding the eyes, and leave on for 10-20 minutes (set your timer!). Rinse with warm water, or better yet, use a clean, soft, damp washcloth to gently wipe away.

Face Moisturizer.
Our moisturizer is a must-use every day, whether you scrub, mask, or simply cleanse. Use a penny-size amount morning and night, after washing your face. It should be the last step of your routine; after cleansing, your pores will be prepped to best absorb all the good stuff in our original moisturizing formula.

Eye Cream.
Ahh, the windows to the soul. The skin under and around your eyes is more delicate than the rest of your face, so it deserves special attention — and a unique formula. You can use our eye cream every day and as needed. This one is a stick, too: to apply, lightly run it under your eyes in an outward direction, and pat the serum gently into the skin.We like using it at night so its formula can work its magic overnight.

Your everyday Disco routine should really only take you 5 minutes at most. (20-25 minutes if it’s Mask Day.) Easy!
